What Are You Grateful For???????

Woooooowwwwwww !!!!!!!!!!! Its Friday already and also the last day in November 2018. Well, seems the year is in a big rush to pave way for 2019 to come through (just teasing).... I can't help but count my blessings. Looking back to the beginning of 2018, I keep on wondering how I got this far. People who are better of me are no more or don't even have what I have and am happy about. That is why I am grateful for life, for happiness even when it seems to be hiding, for good health, for the family , friends & the loved ones I am surrounded with. Oh I am grateful for love. I am grateful for that which I had, for that which I have now and that which I am still going to have. I am grateful for everything   What are you grateful for????????

Family Differences (Siblings..........Continued)

Each siblings finds solace in strangers taken as friends and on the long run, becoming parts of their lives, treating then in the manner they ought to have treated their own family. Little or nothing could parents do when children are grown if any form of closeness was not bred among/between them from childhood. In most cases, the causes of this difference or separation among/between siblings is as a result of: .  parental negligence:- not paying keen attention to their children when parents ought to. . Ideology differences:-  which is, seeing life from different perspectives or having different thoughts towards life. . Egoistic attitudes/behaviours:-  sometimes, older sibling finds it difficult to relate with or confide in the younger sibling due to the value of their birth rites or self-accorded importance of guiding and leading the younger sibling through life. This could in turn, make the younger sibling inferior and also lack confi...

Family Differences (Siblings)

Note : Using the Nigerian society as a case study, even though it occurs in other parts of the world. We share virtually everything We suckled from the same woman We are products of the same father We share the same name Its sometimes alarming the way people mistaken us for one another Our structure is almost the same We talk almost in the same tone But the only difference we have is our thoughts Our thoughts is enough to break us or make us Either ways, we are still siblings.      Over the years, the relationship among/between siblings in most Nigerian families has deteriorated. Some still claims that they have strong bonds which outwardly seems to be true but inwardly, its just a fallacy .............(To Be Continue)

I saw this pictured write-up👆on LinkedIn about a while ago and I was chilled. The fact that you are the boss, leader or even a superior doesn't mean your voice has to heard all the time, you know! Sometimes, there is wisdom in keeping mute or quiet enough for others(subordinates) to talk and you thereby gain more understanding through that. We all know you are the boss but you don't have to put it into action all the time.

Too Late

Shinning so bright from a mile Her architecture, well-baked like waffles, baffles me I wonder who she is! From afar she smiles so loud, I can hear in my head Daily I hope and wish she could be mine Talk to her, my heart says Then I begin to strategize for ages, just to impress her Now I have lost her to someone more deserving I could have been e a r l ier .                                      Written by Tbonz .                                      Edited by Bhighearts .      The simple truth is, "Make hay while the sun shines".            ...

Is Freedom Truly What It Is????

You say the man pouring out his mind is rude and uncultured but I say, one has to speak for what he represents. He has been treated unfairly while trying to exercise his fundamental human right in a democratic society and that might probably go unattended to. I was once denied entry with my family at this same airport(Lagos international airport) while trying to bid a sister of mine farewell because she was leaving the country. It took us hours and a lot of plea before we were finally allowed inside airport. Nonetheless, the government structures and institutions are meant for the citizens, the people in general not selected few because these people are actually the government in a democratic society which Nigeria claims to be part of.

Internal Discrimination or Differentiation (Continued)

Little by little, unconsciously, we begin to differentiate ourselves away from younger siblings because we are older and we think we are better; differentiate ourselves as a better in the house of God(Church); differentiate ourselves as a better among friends at school; differentiate ourselves as a better among workers at workplaces; differentiate ourselves as the best among people in the society. Slowly our piled up differentiations turns into a fully fledged discrimination. In the law of nature, no one is above the other; situations changes, growth occurs, powers are being transfered, table turns, etc. Therefore, nothing is constant in life , learn to treat others right and with respect because in the real sense, we are never really above one another even if it seems we are, its just for a very short while.

Big Shoes huh!

Internal Discrimination or Differentiation

Separation of one from two Separation of two from three The rich is to be separated from the poor, so they say We do not live by the same culture, therefore we should be far apart Our religion is different, we do not serve the same God, we cannot be seen together You are from a lower class, we cannot be seen socialising together Our age grade is different, I cannot roll with you because I am older I speak in tongues including going to spirit-lifting church programs; you don't do any of that, therefore we cannot be seen together because you are a pagan So on and on, discrimination becomes the order of the day..........    So far so good, We blacks(betterstill most of us) have termed discrimination to be just racial(I.e whites against blacks or vice-versa). But the truth is that, the level of discrimination among ourselves(Blacks) is higher than that of the racial discrimination between the whites and the blacks........................... .To be continued.

LIFE

Image
Happy times, sad times is part of life At times you are victorious, at times you are defeated, it is life. There are times you can tear through situations with your strength, there are times you become weak, it is life. There are times you are joyous , there are times you are sad, it is life. There are times you have in abundance, there are times you don't get to have, it is still life. Life is not always a bed of roses, even for those born with silver, gold or bronze spoons. But the  good news is, life is the combination of  "yesterday, today and tomorrow"; who you are yesterday isn't who you are today and who you are today isn't who you will be tomorrow. If you are experiencing the good, hold steadfast and make full use of present situation to shapen your happy tomorrow; And if you are experiencing the bad, keep up the hardwork and keep hoping for the best of tomorrow. You know, Life happens.
